Turn on two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step when you log in. Once it is on, you need both your password and a time-sensitive 6-digit code from an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Authy.

Turn it on

  1. Open your Security settings (workspace name and icon, then "Settings", then "Security").
  2. Under "Two-factor authentication", click "Enable" to open the setup popup.
  3. In your authenticator app, scan the QR code shown in the popup to link it to your account.
  4. Your app now shows a 6-digit code. Type it into the "Code" field.
  5. Click "Enable" to finish. Two-factor authentication is now active.

Can not scan the QR code?

  1. In the popup, find the "Can't scan QR code?" section.
  2. Click "Copy" to copy the text key.
  3. In your authenticator app, add a new account and paste the key manually.

Important: keep your access safe

Keep your authenticator app and device safe. Coldout does not offer backup codes yet, so if you lose access to your app you will need to contact support@coldout.ai to get back into your account.
